This Friday, NABC takes over the taps at Lino’s in Speedway

Blake Montgomery will anchor a NABC tap makeup takeover at Lino’s Coffee in Speedway this Friday, July 18. By “makeup,” we mean that it’s been almost exactly six months since snow and ice prevented NABC staff from attending a previously planned takeover at Lino’s. This time, the polar vortex visitation is fully welcomed, and the weather on the 18th should be fine.

First, some valuable history. The civic enclave of Speedway is the home of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, famed as the site of the Indianapolis 500 race. By design and intent, community and racetrack are inexorably intertwined, and the automotive environs extend to the premises of Lino’s Coffee, which are located inside the Dallara IndyCar Factory. The connection? Dallara is a renowned Italian maker of racing cars, and Lino’s is equally famed as a coffee roaster and retailer. Both call the Italian city of Parma home, and all of it comes together in Speedway.

We’ll be adding NABC to the mix on the 18th. NABC beers being tapped are slated to include Hoptimus, Naughty Girl and two from our Session Series: Beak’s Best Bitter and Houndmouth. The event includes a free NABC logo glass with purchase (while they last), and runs from 5:30 p.m. through 9, so stop by and prep for the Indiana Microbrewers Festival on Saturday.
