The New Albanian Brewing Company welcomes Kimberly Durham to her new position as General Manager of Bank Street Brewhouse (415 Bank Street in downtown New Albany).
Kimberly is a native Louisvillian who has returned home with an extensive work history in management, technical support, human resources and the food & drink industry. Her culinary career began locally in 1984 as part of the Grisanti legacy, and subsequently includes eight years of restaurant ownership and a vast catering portfolio.
Kimberly’s passions include entertaining, travel and pursuing the perfect cocktail (“Hopefully a very long, thorough, dynamic pursuit,” she says), and her knowledge of wine and beer also is exemplary.
Co-owner Roger Baylor’s adds quotable stuff:
“Bank Street Brewhouse will celebrate its fifth anniversary in March, 2014, and as with any business, there must always be a process of ongoing reinvention. As such, we’re proud of what we’ve accomplished to date, with the second five-year plan to follow during the coming months.
“Our NABC beer has never been better than under David Pierce’s tutelage.
“At BSB, Chef Matt Weirich’s kitchen has been consistently top-rated in town.
“The aim remains to play an active role in downtown New Albany’s revitalization, to serve as an incubator of progress, to placemake, and to promote localism as often as humanly possible.
“We feel that Kimberly is the ideal choice to maintain and expand our momentum downtown. She’s seen every side of the food and drink industry. The length and breadth of her knowledge is enviable, and we hope to make maximum use of her considerable skills to further NABC’s food and beer mandate.”
