The Carnegie Center for Art & History’s annual fundraiser is Friday, Sept. 5. The center’s building lies just across the street from Bank Street Brewhouse in downtown New Albany. We’ll be pouring Progressive Pints from Rosa L. Stumblebus, our draft truck, and in fact, this year NABC will be the only “cash bar” beer available to guests. There’ll also be wine and spirits tastings.
Starting time is 6:30 p.m., and details follow.
Traditionally held on the Friday evening following Labor Day, the annual “Taste for Art & History” has become a favorite social event in our community. 250-300 guests attend to support this event, which is the Carnegie Center for Art & History, Inc.’s major fundraiser of the year. Held in the elegant setting of our lovely historic Carnegie Library Building, “Taste for Art & History” features tastings of world-class beverages including wine, beer and bourbon, and an assortment of delectable foods. Guests also enjoy lively silent and live auctions where they may acquire artwork, jewelry, wines and a wide variety of other unique items.
After the festivities inside the Carnegie Center wind down, guests can continue to enjoy the evening at the “After Taste” in the tent in back of the Carnegie Center.
Tickets are $65 per person ($55 for museum members); call 812-944-7336 to make a reservation or visit www.carnegiecenter.org/taste.html to make your reservation online via PayPal. Reservations are confirmed only after payment in full and should be made by Sept. 3.
