I’ll be joining Blake Montgomery to represent NABC and chat about Indiana beer in general and ours in particular on the evening of Thursday, November 7 at the new 99 Hops House at Hollywood Casino in Lawrenceburg. Considering that craft beer presence has been spotty at the Horseshoe Southern Indiana Casino, a mere seven miles from New Albany (NABC was on tap there but isn’t any longer), it’s a hopeful sign of the times that Hollywood Casino’s response to competition from newly legalized gaming in nearby Cincinnati has included being cognizant of the demand for better beer. Cheers to them, and we’re looking forward to a crafty showing on the 7th — Roger
Hollywood Casino’s New Bar Has 99 Beers, by Matt Popovich (Eagle Country 99.3 FM)
(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) – The ribbon was cut and the lagers and ales began flowing Thursday at the new Hops House 99 at Hollywood Casino Lawrenceburg …
… Hops House 99 gives Hollywood patrons an opportunity to sample craft beer from around the tri-state and the world. As the name hints, the new bar and grill has a selection of 99 different beers on tap or in bottles.
“The craft beer industry, especially in Indiana, has just taken off. In Indiana, we are actually top ten in the country on craft brewers. The quality of craft beer coming out of Indiana is great,” said Greg Tuft, Hollywood Casino’s Director of Food and Beverage.
