Matt at Barn Brasserie in Muncie made an amazing beer cheese soup using five year cheddar and Elector Imperial Red Ale. This was a dynamite combination with the hop bitterness and salty, sharp cheddar really complimenting each other. Great beer and great food are Best Friends Forever.

Thank you for the report. Beer and cheese are much better than wine and cheese.

Fantastic. Goes well with bread/cheese (picnic) or with a good fish dinner. Or, indeed, by itself. Fantastic chilled or at room temp, and quite drinkable in any circumstance. I must say, I’m a fan.
